Abstract
The article analyzed the composition of hard zinc waste generated at galvanizing enterprises and methods of recovering zinc from it. The physico-chemical properties of zinc and iron, which are the main components of garzink, were studied and pyrometallurgical and hydrometallurgical processing technologies were compared. The results of the study showed that re-extraction of zinc from gartzink waste not only increases economic efficiency, but also reduces the environmental burden of metallurgical enterprises.
