Abstract
This article considers mechanical impurities, water content and organic components in oil sludge, as well as methods of their analysis. Special attention is paid to the study of the amount of organic acids. For this purpose, laboratory studies were carried out to determine the physicochemical characteristics of the feedstock. Samples of oil sludge obtained from Bukhara oil refinery were used as material for extraction of organic fraction. Analysis of oil sludge composition showed that they contain a significant amount of petroleum products, mainly consisting of heavy oil fractions. Based on the studies of group composition and physicochemical properties it was found that oil sludge from Bukhara oil refinery is a promising raw material for the isolation of the organic component.
